One wet night

Jordan has a great new Boy Scout Leader who is motivating the boys to get their requirements passed off. She invited the whole family to go on this scout camp and it was so much fun. We camped on the beach not far from our house. Jordan was obsessed with fire and was most of the time trying to light a new fire somewhere. Brendan and Dylan had a blast running around with the other kids. We actually hadn't camped as a family for a very long time so we had to go out and buy a lot of camping equipment. Richard set up our tent after it was already dark and decided to leave the canopy cover off so we could sleep underneath the stars. It really was a great idea until around 3:30 in the morning when the sprinklers went off (our tent was on some grass right above the sand). I think we were all in shock because the sprinklers hit us two times before Richard ran out there and threw on the canopy. By that time though we were all soaked and the kids were screaming. There were still gaps in the canopy where it didn't cover and we had to put our heads underneath the cover every time the sprinklers came back around. It made for a cold, wet night but we stuck through it and dried everything off by lunch.
