Baseball highlights

Baseball season seems like such a long season with games twice a week (4 if you have two kids) not to mention practices, but both boys improve more and more each year that they play.

Here is Dylan pushing the boy out of the way so he can get on base. He liked to make sure everyone played the game correctly.

After an exhausting, very hot game.

The celebration is not complete without a trophy and a candy lei.

Brendan loves to steal bases. He likes to egg on the pitcher to just try to get him out.

He became an official pitcher. Even though I had a hard time watching, he did a great job and it made the games really exciting.

Party time. Brendan's team went to da rush for the end of season party (they were his team sponsor). The whole family was invited so Jordan and Dylan got to ride the wave.

They had a lot of wipeouts but they kept getting back up there and trying it again. Both Brendan and Jordan tried ridding the wave standing up. Brendan was determined to do it and finally got it even if only for a few seconds.

What Jacob has learned to do

Climb inside the dryer to play.
Climb in a chair to listen to my recorded voice read him a book.
Watch TV. They happen to be watching Funniest Home Videos which really kept both of them pretty entertained for awhile.

Rollerblades for the family

New Rollerblades for the family. We wore them in rolling around the neighborhood and then headed to the skate park that night.

Free Falling

Last week we got a bedroom set which made our bed a lot taller. Jacob and Dylan went crazy jumping and falling all over it. Jacob was hilarious as we would free fall face first in the mattress.

No meetings, no cooking, a beautiful lei = how to get spoiled on Mother's Day.

Girls Week(s)

What was supposed to be a girls week turned into a couple girls weeks. First Jamie came to visit and it was just like old times. We even went shopping right after she got off the plane. We went to the beach, took a day trip to Lanai (we saw dolphins!), took the scenic drive to Kaanapali. and walked around Paia. Richard was so nice to stay home a lot so he could watch Jake for me.

So the night Jamie headed back to Utah was the same night Jody and Krista were coming to visit. It worked out to be the same time so I dropped off Jamie and drove a few yards to pick up the other two. It was funny how that happened.

While they were here they were able to go on a scuba trip and snorkel at many great spots. Most of the time I sat on the beach and relaxed getting the darkest I have probably ever been. We tried to see the dolphins at Makena but they were feeling shy that day. It is always worth taking a drive to Makena though.

I'm ready for another week. Who's next?

Just a glimpse

An Adam Sandler movie is being shot right here on Maui at the Grand Wailea. I was walking around with some friends when we saw them filming. We were not allowed to take any pictures unless we were on the beach but I snuck in a couple of shots.
So I didn't see Adam Sandler or Jennifer Aniston but I did see the paparazzi trying to get a glimpse just like me. I did see the guy from Law and Order but it was pretty cool just to see a movie going on right in front of me.
